Chrysler recalls some Jeep Wranglers |
Chrysler said in a report filed with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Administration that 57,885 Jeep Wranglers are being recalled because 58% of those vehicles are believed to have an "unnecessary and unused frame stud" that could puncture the fuel tank in the event of a crash. |
Chrysler said that it stopped installing the additional studs to Wranglers in May, and as of March 9, the car maker did not know of any injuries or accidents connected to the issue. | A sign stands at the Hollywood Chrysler Jeep dealership on December 3, 2013 in Hollywood, Florida.
