It's Medora and we're officially moving high speed into the weekend.Well, once we get through the snowstorm forecast today for Chicago. Gulp! |
I'm not complaining though. Yosemite closed indefinitely due to heavy snow. Here, it's not supposed to last long or stick around, which is good news for electric vehicle owners. Some EV batteries don't perform as well in freezing temperatures but are okay for shorter trips. |
Speaking of EVs, a debate on whether GM can dethrone Tesla has ignited just as Mississippi tries to limit the number of EV dealerships in the state. Before anyone goes nuts, remember New York prohibited Tesla from opening dealerships to sell directly to consumers for a long time due to a dusty old law. Even now, Tesla is only allowed to have five in the state. Other states have similar bans on dealerships for EV makers that give the likes of GM and Ford an upper hand. |
Some good, but different news, is that discounts are back if you're looking for new wheels. Bad news is interest rates are likely to keep rising and stay high. |
